Amos 5:24-26

²⁴ “But let justice roll on like many^[a] waters,
    and righteousness like an ever-flowing river.

²⁵ “Was it to me that you brought offerings and gifts
    in the desert for 40 years, house of Israel?
²⁶ And you carried the tent of your king^[b]—
    and Saturn,^[c] your star god idols^[d] that you crafted for yourselves.
